Orchid
A poem about self-care
I am easy to love. I take care of myself like an orchid— I’m a lily for my peace. I ask myself what I need, and I provide plenty of food for my table. Rest is not a luxury— I take it freely. I receive. I set boundaries on my time my body my space my presence is not a requirement. I am a peach. Delicious, yet easily marked, so I don’t hand myself to the clumsy. Carry me better than I’d carry me. That is a requirement. I love myself loudly. I think my skin is beautiful. I laugh at all my jokes— I’m my own home. My home is my sanctuary. I keep it clean because I’m my guest. I get dressed when I have nowhere to go. I don’t own clothes that make me feel heavy. I let myself feel pretty. I let myself FEEL. What’s on your heart today, Orchid? How can I water you?

It’s all about self-love and heart healing.

I love this! There are so many quotable lines, but these speak the loudest to me:
"I don’t own clothes
that make me feel heavy.
I let myself feel pretty.
I let myself FEEL.
What’s on your heart today, Orchid?
How can I water you?"
beautiful :) I love the contrast you created between love and care here... love might be easy but care takes effort/intention!
