Planting
A poem about wanting to heal someone's grief
I’m so sorry I’m sorry for that grief behind your eyes and it’s scales on your back For you, I’d scoop it all up, take it into my mouth, and spit it out like bullets at her and him and them I would carve your name on a tree because trees never die I’d show you stones that have been broken into sand and how they can still make castles I plant kisses on your head and I hope they grow wide in your brain. The sun sets early now, but I plant long summer nights in your mouth and I pray they grow deep in your chest and blossom when you blink

loved this, beautiful writing!
Can you please clarify (if you don't mind of course) this stanza:
"For you, I’d scoop it all up,
take it into my mouth,
and spit it out like bullets
at her and him and them"
I was a little confused here. Thanks in advance!
